MUNICIPAL COURT The mission of the Municipal Court is to provide a forum for citizens to have their matters heard in a fair, efficient, convenient, and timely manner of misdemeanor offenses committed and filed in the City of Madisonville.  Each case that is filed in the Madisonville Municipal Court is considered an individual case and is adjudicated in that manner.  The Court considers each case with the utmost fairness and equality. The Municipal Court Judicial Department represents the City of Madisonville’s judicial branch of government and provides a forum for individuals charged with violations of state law and/or City ordinances.  The fundamental purpose of the court is to ensure the timely and efficient delivery and administration of justice.  The duties of the judiciary include the adjudication of cases, the setting of fines, not otherwise set by state law or city ordinance, the provision of magistrate for law enforcement agencies, and coordinating the administrative operations of the court.  The jurisdiction of the court extends to misdemeanor cases where the maximum punishment is by fine only. The Madisonville Municipal Court Judge and the Clerk of the Court are not allowed to give legal advice. You are urged to review the applicable laws and to consult an attorney of your choice for further information or answers to specific legal questions. You have the right to a trial by a jury and to be represented by an attorney of your choice, or to represent yourself. WARRANTS The Court will issue a warrant when:     You fail to make a plea to violations shown on your ticket     You fail to comply with the Orders of a Judge     You do not complete a payment plan or fail to make              payments as promised.
PAYMENT PLAN AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST Payment plans are available upon request.  Please Note:  There is a one-time $25.00 State Fee, PER CITATION, added to all payment plans. You may also pay your ticket online by clicking here or call 1-800-444-1187 to pay by phone.
