Director of Convention/Tourism
The City of Madisonville is seeking to employ an individual for the position of Director of Convention/Tourism. This individual will be responsible for planning, repairs and improvements to the City Facilities. Participate in short-term and long-range planning for the department and responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned employees to make the most effective and efficient use of skills, facilities, and equipment available. Market the City of Madisonville to its newcomers and visitors by working with civic organizations and outside groups to increase the hotel/motel tax base. A minimum of five years experience in the management of public facilities. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and must have a High School diploma. Salary depends on experience and knowledge of Tourism. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, sick leave, paid holidays, vacation and retirement through TMRS.
