The Madisonville City Council met in a Special called meeting on February 15, 2019 at 5:30 P.M. at 210 W. Cottonwood, Madisonville, Texas

Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m.

Meeting called to order with the following members present:

William (Bill) Parten-Mayor

Russell Bailey-Mayor Pro tem

Chris McGilbra-Council Member

Jerry Harper-Council Member

Lois Brown-Council Member

Dale Kovacs-Council Member

Camilla Viator- City Manager

Rosa Barrera- City Secretary

I.       Mayor William (Bill) Parten called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

II.        Invocation was given by Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey

III.       Councilmember Dale Kovacs led the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag with City Council and staff members.

IV.          Visitors Forum-none

 V.          CONSENT AGENDA

(A.) Review and possible approval to order the city election to be held May 4, 2019

        Councilm ember Lois Brown moved to approve an order that the city election to be Held on May 4, 2019. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey with each Council member voting AYE motion carried

(B.) Discuss and possible approval of appointing Pat Stephenson as election Judge and as alternate Judge Freida Michaels for the City election on May 4, 2019

        Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey moved to approve appointing Pat Stephenson as election judge and Frieda Michaels as alternate judge for the City election on May 4, 2019. Seconded by Council member Lois Brown with each Council member voting AYE motion carried.

(C.) Discuss and possible approval for election workers compensation

         Council member Dale Kovacs moved for approval for election workers Compensation. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey with each Council member voting AYE motion carried

(D.) Discuss and set two dates that City Hall will remain open for 12 hours for

         Early voting

         Council member Lois Brown moved to set April 29 and April 30 for City Hall to remain open for 12 hours for early voting. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey with each Council member voting AYE motion carried

       Council member Lois Brown adjourn the meeting at 5:34 p.m. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey with each Council member voting AYE motion carried
