All consent agenda items are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by a motion.  There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Council Member requests, an item be removed and considered separately

Consider approval of the minutes as written for July 19, 2021, July 26, 2021 and August 2, 2021

Consider approval of Accounts Payable as written for the previous Month.

Consider and accept the 2021-2022 tax rates from the Tax Assessor-Collector Karen Lane.

Review and approve a proposed tax rate for 2021-2022.

Discuss, consider, and select administration/project service provider to complete project implementation for the American Rescue Plan Act (ARP Act) funding administered by the U.S. Departement of the Treasury, other Federal or State Agency.

Review and consider an Resolution No. 123-2021 of the City Council of the City of Madisonville, Texas, approving a negotiated settlement between the

Atmos Cities Steering Committee (“ACSC”) and Atmos Energy Corp., Mid-Tex Division regarding the company’s 2021 rate review mechanism filing; declaring existing rates to be unreasonable; adopting tariffs that reflect rate adjustments consistent with the negotiated.

Discuss and possible approval of Ordinance 845 providing that

Ordinance 629 be amended in the Residential Districts to omit two-car garage or carport. And to add in the Residential Districts must include a concrete, asphalt and slag driveway/parking area.

Discuss and possible approval  appointing Oliver Juarez to the Planning & Zoning Board.

Discuss and possible approval of extension of the COVID-19 Disaster Resolution for another 30 days.

Discuss and possible approval of extension of The Winter Storm Disaster Resolution for another 30 days.

VI. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION: for possible action resulting from items discussed in executive session. The City Council for the City of Madisonville reserves the right to adjourn into executive session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney) 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property),551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices) and 551.087 (Economic Development).
