Animal Control in Madisonville

City of Madisonville Animal Control Officer Ami NashAnimal control concerns and reports of missing animals should be directed to City Hall at 936-348-2748 weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., when possible.

The City of Madisonville’s Animal Control Officer provides a great service to the citizens of our city. This officer enforces the animal control ordinances. He also provides many animal-related services, such as removal of dead animals in the roadway, capturing of snakes from residences, handling of possibly-rabid animals, and trapping of stray dogs, cats and wildlife.

The Animal Control Officer works with compassion and understanding, coordinating the humane treatment of these animals with the Rita B. Huff Animal Shelter in Huntsville, and in accordance with the State Regulations on Animal Control.

  • Owner surrender fee is $30
  • No animals taken in from out of the city
  • Donations needed (toys, blankets, kennels, bowls, towels, buckets, etc.)
