The Madisonville City Council met in a Special called meeting on February 26, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at 210 W. Cottonwood, Madisonville, Texas

Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Meeting called to order with the following members present:
William (Bill) Parten-Mayor
Russell Bailey-Mayor Pro tem
Chris McGilbra-Council Member
Jerry Harper-Council Member
Lois Brown-Council Member
Dale Kovacs-Council Member
Camilla Viator- City Manager

I. Mayor William (Bill) Parten called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
II. Invocation was given by Council member Lois Brown
III. Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey led the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag with City Council and staff members.

V. CONSENT AGENDA

(A.) Discuss and Possible approve expenses for repairs on Water Well #4 Kevin Story explain to the City Council what the City has spent so far, $21,500 hired to TV survey the Well casing; blockage at 950 feet, removal of pump equipment and blowing out the blockage. Kevin Story also mention to the Council about the anticipated repair costs that would be to repair the pump equipment for
the cost $62,532. To scale the pipe in order to keep the pump free of scales and to get a better look at any deterioration of the pipes the cost will be $ 24,750. Kevin stated that we may need to start now to drill another well at the same site because it takes about 2 years to drill. The cost would be approximately $800,000 to 1.2 million. Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey moved to approve the expenses for repairs on Water Well #4. Seconded by Council member Jerry Harper with each Council member voting AYE motion carried.

(B.) Discuss and possible approval authorizing City Manager to negotiate the contract with Waste Connections
Council member Dale Kovacs moved to authorize the City Manager to negotiate the contract with Waste Connections. Seconded by Council member Lois Brown with each Council member voting AYE motion carried

Mayor Pro Tem Russell Bailey adjourn the meeting at 6:29 p.m. Seconded by Council member Chris McGilbra with each Council member voting AYE motion carried
