REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
June 14, 2021
MINUTES
The Madisonville City Council met in a regular council meeting on June 14, 2021
at 6:00 p.m. at 210 W. Cottonwood, Madisonville, Texas
Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Meeting called to order with the following members present:
William (Bill) Parten-Mayor
Chris McGilbra-Mayor Pro Tem
Jessie Jaenicke-Council Member
Brady Taylor-Council Member
Terri Davis-Council Member
Melissa Hinojosa-Council Member
Camilla Viator- City Manager
Rosa Barrera- City Secretary
- Mayor William (Bill) Parten called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
- Invocation was given by Pastor Ed Collins
- Chief Herbert Gilbert led the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag with City Council, staff members and visitors
- VISITORS FORUM (3 MINUTES) Pastor Ed Collins spoke about the continue development for the Marion Anderson Park.
V. CONSENT AGENDA
All consent agenda items are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by a motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Council Member so request, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal position on the agenda.
(A.) Consider approval of the minutes as written for May 10, 2021 and June 7, 2021.
Councilmember Jessie Jaenicke moved to approve the minutes as written for May 10, 2021
and June 7, 2021. Seconded by Councilmember Brady Taylor. With each Councilmember
voting AYE motion carried.
- Consider approval of Accounts Payable as written for the previous Month.
Councilmember Jessie Jaenicke moved to approve the Accounts Payables written. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Chris McGilbra with each Councilmember voting AYE motion carried.
- Discuss and possible action appointing Councilmember Jessie Jaenicke to the city signature card.
Councilmember Chris McGilbra moved to appoint Councilmember Jessie Jaenicke to the city signature card. Seconded by Councilmember Brady Taylor with each Councilmember voting AYE motion carried.
(D.) Discuss and possible approval of extension of the COVID-19
Disaster Resolution for another 30 days.
Councilmember Jessie Jaenicke moved to approve the COVID-19 Disaster Resolution for another 30 days. Seconded by Councilmember Brady Taylor with each Councilmember voting AYE motion carried.
(E.) Discuss and possible approval of extension of The Winter Storm Disaster
Resolution for another 30 days.
Councilmember Brady Taylor moved to approve the Winter Storm Disaster Resolution for another 30 days. Seconded by Councilmember Jessie Jaenicke with each Councilmember voting AYE motion carried.

Kevin Story informed the City Council that he is still having problems with certain lift stations
and all the problems his having with the pumps.

8. Tax Collection Report for the City of Madisonville
City Council went over briefly of all the other reports

VII. Adjournment:
Councilmember Jessie Jaenicke moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:25 p.m. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Chris McGilbra with each Councilmember voting AYE motion carried.
